IBrowse - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
IBrowse is a web browser for the Amiga range of computers, and was a rewritten follow-on to Amiga Mosaic, one of the first web browsers for the Amiga Computer.
IBrowse was one of the first browsers to include tabbed browsing as early as 1999.
IBrowse has been rumored to be included with the new 4.0 version of AmigaOS.

IBrowse 2.4 has now reached release candidate stage, and it is now in the final stages of testing, in anticipation for a release within the next few weeks.
Obviously we realise not everyone can get to these shows, and there were also a couple of shows happening which we didn't know about until it was too late, so we have provided a summary of the news.
We recommend that all users of IBrowse 2.3 install the new custom class, even if you do not have the crash under OS4-Pre, or even use OS4, as the bug is still present and a potential problem.

AmiUpdate - The new Amiga InfoStation
IBrowse has been a favourite browser for many Amiga users, but the lack of Javascipt, Java Virtual Machine and Flash, amoungst other essential features, made it outdated, but things are changing.
These are gone, and because of HMTL 4 support, they are also supported in IBrowse, all you need to do is to configure which fonts you'd like to use in your FONTS: directory, as seen in the picture to the left.
Since this is the first public release of IBrowse 2, these types of problems are obviously present and will be sorted out as users respond with their experiences.

IBrowse and Voyager Next Generation Review   (Site not responding. Last check: 2007-10-10)
AWeb unlike IBrowse and Voyager Next Generation though, at time of writing, has no REAL Frames support, it doesn't support as much HTML 3.2 as the others do, and all its support programs are external.
When IBrowse V1.0, commercial, was released it was a much more stable product which was ahead of all other Amiga Web Browsers released at that point, albiet it was rather buggy, but a free update/patch to solve the bugs came out very shortly after release.
These include VRML Plug-ins (for IBrowse 1.10+), JAVA Plug-in (possibly for IBrowse and Voyager Next Gen.), JavaScript support (rumoured to be in the next major release of IBrowse), and other plug-ins are all in development right now (some nearing completion as this article is written).

You know, in my opinion, it's asking a lot for the MorphOS team to ask users to invest time, money and effort in an OS which even the blind faithful have to admit, is on the bleeding edge of legality in many countries.
The product legality may be a splash in the pan to most users, but when it's used by someone in a position where the threat of legal issues is a serious matter, I think responding with anything other than professional legal answers is something to raise a questioning eyebrow to.
Have you ever tried to contact a company in the middle of a legal situation, they have a standard script they are coached to read to anyone who questions the infractions of a legal standing if there hasn't been any form of public statement posted.

The South Wales Amiga User Group has reviewed the latest version of IBrowse, one of the three main Amiga webbrowsers and the default browser for the soon to be released version 4.0 of the Amiga Desktop Operating System.
Also note that IBrowse uses MUI and so you can almost fully customize the user interface in addition to replacing buttons, surf button animations, the allignment of buttons to any side, etc. You can find many nice things on Aminet.
Anyway, IBrowse may not look too pretty by default, but the webbrowser is very functional and IMO a reasonable starting point for a new OS platform like AmigaOS4.
