	Analog Devices develops JPEG 2000 IC: Digital Photography Review
		Analog Devices, Inc is developing a high-efficiency coding/decoding integrated circuit (IC) to support the Joint Photographic Coding Experts Group (JPEG) 2000, the next-generation international standard for image compression.
		Sample shipments are scheduled to start in the second quarter of this year, with chips for digital still cameras and printers marking the firm's entry into the image processing IC sector.
		Part-1 of the JPEG-2000 standard, the core portion defining encoding/decoding processing, was adopted as an international standard in December 2000.

	UNU/IC Spring 2000
		In 2000, the courses will be offered from 15 May to 23 June.
		Courses of the UNU/IC are taught in a cooperative fashion by a team of scholars and practitioners comprising both in-house and outside experts.
		The regular courses will be advanced in nature, though open to graduate students and professionals in various occupations who are not necessarily specialists in the field.

		IC 2000 double-decker train is the first complete TCN application in operation with trainbus WTB, vehicle bus MVB and the diagnostic system according to international norm (TCN, UIC 557).
		For the second series of deliveries of IC 2000 coaches the WTB will be used as well for the passenger information system (PIS).

		The revised guidelines are designed to reduce the incidence of pneumonia and other severe, acute lower respiratory tract infections in acute-care hospitals and in other health-care settings (e.g., ambulatory and long-term care institutions) and other facilities where health care is provided.
