		The IIM Kolkata has received 80 applications this session for the Need Based Financial Assistance scheme, which is provided to pupils whose annual family and parental income does not exceed Rs 2 lakh.
		The IIMs at Bangalore, Indore and Khozikode have extended the date for submission of applications on this count and would process them within the next two weeks, the release said adding that IIM Indore was considering 21 more applications involving an amount of Rs 21 lakh.

		For all IIMs, the minimum eligibility criterion for admission to PGP is at least a three-year Bachelor's degree or equivalent in any discipline recognized by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU)/ All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) as eligible for Post-Graduate Studies in Management.
		For this programme an applicant must have (i) a minimum of two years work experience (by May 31, 2004) at an Executive /Supervisory level after graduation and (ii) must be employed in a full time job at the time of admission (Details in CAT Bulletin).
		Note (for all IIMs): Candidates who are currently in their final year of Bachelor's degree (or its equivalent) can also apply, provided they expect to complete all their exams and other requirements for obtaining the qualifying degree before June 30, 2004.

		IIM Bangalore’s Director Prakash Apte in an affidavit filed in the apex court, however, said no decision had been taken by the institute’s governing board about accepting the government decision.
		This stand of the IIM, Bangalore, was contrary to the government counsel’s statement before the court during a previous hearing that except Ahmedabad all other five business schools had agreed to the ministry’s decision to reduce the fee from Rs 1.5 lakh to Rs 30,000 per annum.
		The IIM, Bangalore, in its affidavit said at a recent meeting of its governing body “no consensus” was reached on the fee cut issue and a resolution was passed by it, authorising the Chairman to take the decision.

		New Delhi, Feb 6 (PTI) Six leading IIMs have decided to start additional courses and increase the intake in many existing ones from the coming academic year following a directive from the Government to broadbase their activities in the light of the changing economy.
		Some of the new courses are executive MBA at IIM- Ahmedabad which will have 50 seats, one-year Global Managers' Programme with 30 seats, 80-seat programme on Leading and Managing with a one-year duration, an official statement said today.
