Tavor, the new Israeli assault rifle is lightweight, compact and ergonomically designed to become an 'organic' part of the warfighter.
Tavor assault rifles were tested extensively through three years with field units, modified to respond to evolving requirements realized during actual combat engagements in urban combat and special operations.
Tavor was selected to be the future assault rifle for the IDF infantry units, and the weapon of choice for the IDF future infantry combat suits, replacing various types of M-16, M-4 and Galil.

It's the IMI Tavor, it's really just another a bullpup rifle, that's what they meant by having the internals in the stock; like the AUG, F2000, SAR-21 etc. It doesn't seem to have anything stand-out about it, but I suppose it's a significant leap over the M16s and Galil's they're replacing.
I remeber how several IMI projects all claimed to be superior replacement for foreign weapons, and none of them became adapted.
Tavor was designed to use the Mars sight and even has a hole for the on button to be mounted but that does not mean it's an intagral part of it I have seen pics of it with other sights.

I think they are saying that they tend to need readjustments and the Tavor won't need that, maybe because it has only one sight and not two that have to relate to one another.
Micro Tavor will probably be like the Micro Uzi, small, rapid firing, and uncontrollable, except the Tavor adds the neato feature of a high-powered rifle cartridge to the mix.
IMI is banking on the Uzi's reputation to sell the Tavor to foreign customers, but frankly, I would much prefer to use the Uzi than the Tavor.
