France Telecom is providing INRIA with a virtual private network offering 25 Mb/s interconnection between sites at Rocquencourt in the Yvelines (west of Paris), Sophia Antipolis (on the French Riviera) and Grenoble in eastern France.
INRIA will have real time access to information on this private virtual network from a network administration terminal, and will be able to process information on traffic statistics and parametrizable events.
A presentation of INRIA and its research activities has been installed on an information server at Sophia Antipolis.

In September 2004, David August (leader of the Liberty group), was invited by Olivier Temam (leader of the INRIA Alchemy group) to present his modular simulation approach at the kick-off meeting of the HiPEAC (High-Performance Embedded Architectures and Compilers) European Network of Excellence.
The INRIA Alchemy group has set up its MicroLib web site in 2002, and has focused on populating its Library with full processor models and modular simulation components; one of the first models disseminated on the web site has already been downloaded 2500+ times.
