IPC Media has appointed Neil Robinson, publishing director of TVTimes, to the newly created role of digital development director.
Mr Robinson, who joined IPC in 1994 and oversaw the expansion of NME.Com, will lead the strategic development of all new digital properties and report directly chief executive to Sylvia Auton.
He is the latest in a long line of appointments as IPC shifts to put greater emphasis on its digital brands.

It was then purchased itself in 1970, by Reed Elsevier, who in 1974 separated the company into two groups, IPC, formed of the magazine publication holdings; and Mirror Group Newspapers, formed of the newspapers.
In 1998 IPC Magazines, as the division was by then known, was subject to a management buyout, which was financed by Cinven, a venture capitalist group.
The company was renamed IPC Media in 2000 to coincide with the millennium.

The IPC is the international governing body of sports for athletes with a disability, supervising and coordinating the organization of the Paralympic Summer and Winter Games, as well as the world and regional championships for the thirteen IPC sports.
At the IPC Governing Board Meeting in Torino, Italy, in April 2005, it was agreed that due to the fact that a mutually-agreed eligibility and verification system for athletes with an intellectual disability was not in place, the inclusion of such events on the Torino 2006 Paralympic Winter Games Programme was not possible.
However, in consultation with the IPC sports, athletes with an intellectual disability should be able to progressively return to IPC sanctioned competitions as a means of testing the sport specific components of the eligibility and verification process.

Magazine publisher IPC Media has announced that its new Southwark Street HQ - until now known as Bankside 1 - is to be named The Blue Fin Building.
Designed by award-winning architects Allies and Morrison, whose offices are opposite the development, IPC claims that The Blue Fin Building will provide an "architectural statement" to match Tate Modern.
IPC agreed to buy Bankside 1 in May 2004 and in May 2005 the developer announced that it was pressing on with Bankside 2 and Bankside 3 on a speculative basis.
