	NATO in Aghanistan - Factsheet

	International Security Assistance Force - ISAF 6

		Event organizers have asked ISAF that the events not be the fee collectors from the "Category C" big boats and the syndicates have asked for a yearly license so they are not unduly taxed at each event.

	Operation Fingal: Index
		ISAF provided assistance to the Afghan authorities after an avalanche struck the Salang Tunnel in February.
		In the aftermath of the earthquake which caused devastation in northern Afghanistan overnight 25/26 March, ISAF responded quickly to requests from the Afghan Interim Authority, dispatching a team of experts to help assess the situation.

	ISAF Report
		The ISAF Windsurfing Committee voted 7 / 2 in favour of retaining the Mistral OD as the Olympic equipment; the Chairman led the vote by raising his hand in favour of the One Design immediately.
		This committee would then report to the ISAF Executive in February, who would forward a recommendation to the ISAF Council in May (the last possible chance for a decision to be made).
		It was clearly apparent that ISAF Committee Members at all levels vote according to ‘national instruction’ and will not alter their vote or decision based on information presented to them during ISAF committee meetings.

	Terrorism - International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) in Afghanistan
