Ian Paice - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Ian Anderson Paice (born June 29, 1948; Nottingham, England) made his name as drummer with seminal heavy rock band Deep Purple.
Ian is also one of the few rock drummers who has mastered the one handed roll.

Ian Paice - Biography - AOL Music
Although not as renowned as Ginger Baker or John Bonham, Deep Purple's Ian Paice was one of hard rock/heavy metal's early standout drummers, and like the other two, influenced countless other skinsmen in the process.
It was while playing with one of these groups in Hamburg, Germany that respected session guitarist Ritchie Blackmore took note of Paice, and arranged the drummer to audition for his group, Roundabout, in early 1968.
Paice has also recorded a few instructional videos for fellow drummers over the years, including an episode of the '80s TV program Rock School, and in 2002, the DVD Not for the Pros.
