A Society for Church Archaeology conference at the University of Glasgow which will consider the role of significant features in organised landscapes, with emphasis on prayer (pilgrimage and liturgy), territory (routes and boundaries) and work (agriculture, economy and industry).
Ian Smith has been appointed Environmental Archaeologist at Chester Archaeology, in succession to Lesley Harrison, who has taken up a post with Wrexham County Borough Council.
