Ray Wilson (musician) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

He is the cousin of Ian Wilson, better known as Ian Catskilkin, of UK Indie band Art Brut.
Wilson went on to record a solo project called "Cut_", which he has described as sounding the way the next Genesis album might have sounded had the band continued with him.

Wilson draws on recent archeological evidence to argue that this wave inundated agricultural societies around the Black Sea, creating a worldwide diaspora and driving some of the survivors south into Egypt, Mesopotamia and other parts of the Middle East.
This Black Sea flood and the southern migration, Wilson argues, are the basis for the Genesis tale of Noah.
Wilson does not aim to prove the literal truth of the Bible story-only that Noah had real-life counterparts who escaped the flood by ship.

Although Wilson's introduction well emphasizes the controversial nature of much of the scholarship of biblical history and the tentative nature of the results, in the rest of the book he gives an impression of certainty that will be very misleading to the careless reader.
Ian Wilson's new book, 'The Bible Is History', is an important contribution on the side of those who accept and look for historical truth in the Biblical text.
Wilson explains the source-text theory of the Bible (with sources such as E, J, P, D, possibly others), basic archaeological and geological ideas, and flatly rejects what he terms (several times in the text, in fact) `extreme fundamentalist' views such as the 4004 BC calculation for the date of creation, etc.

Wilson (The Turin Shroud) coaxes details out of a handful of sources and sorts through the available bits of contradictory information about Nostradamus.
In the end, however, Wilson spends considerable space disproving particular predictions, and comments generally that "astrology is all quackery," but is not able to explain why Nostradamus nonetheless remains such a lasting influence.
But while much has been written about Nostradamus's predictions and their validity, little is known of the man. This definitive biography by bestselling historian Ian Wilson reveals the man behind the legend for the first time.
