Topic: Ibrahim (Timurid Dynasty)

Babur - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Ibrahim was widely detested, even amongst his nobles, and indeed it was several of his Afghan nobles who were to invite Babur's intervention.
Ibrahim Lodhi advanced against him with 100,000 soldiers and 100 elephants and though Babur's army had grown, it was still less than half the size of his opponents, possibly as few as 25,000 men.
Ibrahim Lodhi was slain and his army was routed; Babur quickly took possession of both Delhi and Agra - That very day Babur ordered Humayun to ride forward to Agra (Ibrahim's former capital) and secure its national treasures and resources from looting.
