Ibrox Stadium, originally Ibrox Park, is the stadium of Rangers F.C. It is located on the south side of the River Clyde in the Ibrox district of Glasgow.
The stadium's all-seated capacity in 2005 was 50,411.
The stadium is one of slightly more than 20 European stadiums which have UEFA's 5-star rating, enabling it to host finals of the UEFA Champions League and the European Championship.

Ibrox disaster refers to two accidents which led to to major loss of life at Ibrox Stadium (formerly Ibrox Park) in Glasgow, Scotland.
On April 5, 1902, during a Scotland-England British Home Championship match, a section of terracing at the back of the West Stand collapsed.
After 89 minutes of scoreless football Celtic took a 1-0 lead and many Rangers supporters left the stadium.

I was recently contacted by Craig Smith who lost his father in the Ibrox Disaster, and in his e-mail he expressed his dismay at the lack of web sites, including the official club site, which make any mention of that fateful day.
Before we got to Ibrox we had decided that no matter what the score was we would wait for ten minute after the game was over to avoid any scary situations as I had been involved in a couple, at Hampden when Scotland played Italy and at Parkhead.
I was then carried into the stadium and this is the worst part, I could not speak, was bearly breathing, cold, also in shock and was put in a dressing room were all around me were stretchers with bodies, no sound, already covered up.

Although most games sell out at Ibrox, tickets can be bought for most games, as long as you call the ticket office at least a couple of weeks prior to the fixture.
The Stadium Bar on Copland Road is OK. There are also chip shops and a plethora of chip and burger vans around the ground of matchdays, as would be expected.
Turn out of the stadium and go left on to Edminston Drive, and the station is about five minutes' walk away after the road joins up with Paisley Road West (Adult single tickets are about 80p).
