Iceman (comics) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Iceman is a mutant with the ability to emanate intense cold which manifests as ice formations and the mental ability to shape those ice formations into whatever structure he can imagine.
He is often seen to project cold from his hands in the form of "ice blasts" which can cause an enemy to be completely engulfed in ice in a matter of seconds.
Eventually, he was actually able to transform his body into organic ice in which his strength and endurance were augmented to enhanced levels, but when he turned his body back to normal, he would be an ordinary human.

 IGN: Ice Princess Review
Cusack, usually a reliable comic performer, lends her scenes convincing gravitas – which in and of itself is a phrase one would never expect to use in conjunction with this film – but her conversations with Trachtenberg ring truer to those of real-parent-child conferences than most I've seen in recent years.
Their confrontation over Joan's ambitions for her daughter to have all of the things she couldn't provide is powerful, altruistic moment; so too is the showdown between Joan and Tina after Casey's first competition ends in disappointment and injury, where Joan tells her more-alike-than-she'd-care-to-admit contemporary where and how to get off.
In the case of Ice Princess, this proves as true with the cast as it does with the characters, and hopefully with audiences as much as it does with family-oriented filmmakers.
