	Icheb - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
		Icheb was assimilated by the Borg and has many parallels with the character Seven of Nine: they were both assimilated by the Borg while small children, were separated from the Borg hive mind, and restored very close to their pre-Borg selves with the help of the crew of Voyager and Captain Janeway.
		After Icheb was assimilated he was placed inside a Borg maturation chamber, where he was to grow into an adult drone until an apparently space born virus infected the vessel he was aboard and consequently killed all the adult drones, disconnecting the vessel from the Borg.
		In the episode Child's Play, Icheb was facing a reunion with his parents.

		Icheb — abducted from a Class-1 transport in Grid 649 — was one of several neo-natal drones left to fend for themselves on a Borg Cube that was infected by a virus that killed all the adult drones aboard in 2376.
		It turns out that Icheb had been specially bred with a genome to produce a pathogen to kill Borg —; in fact, he was the carrier of the virus that disabled the Cube he and the other children were occupying.

	The Coffee Nebula Board Archive: Voyager - Friendship One
		Not only should Icheb have nanoprobes, but the Doc and other third parties should be able to reproduce the nanoprobes as they did in Scorpion without having to extract them from Seven.
		Guess its part of the pattern that at least some of the recurring characters have to be eliminated in the last season (TNG: Lore was deactivated, Ro deserted and Wesley "evolved"; DS9: Damar, Dukat and Winn were killed off).
		And since Voyager has so few recurring characters (Carey, the Wildmans, Voric and Icheb are the only ones aboard ship who are still alive who've been in more than 2 shows) they didn't have many to choose from.
