Although in 1192 real political power shifted to Kamakura, where a samurai clan established the shogunate, Kyoto still remained the imperial capital as the powerless emperors and their court continued to be seated in the city.
Kyoto is located almost in the center of Honshu and of Japan.
Kyoto is separated in the middle by the Tanba Mountains.

Qiu and colleagues have claimed that IDE is secreted into the culture medium of several neuronal and nonneuronal cell lines, particularly a microglial cell line, BV-2 (Qiu et al., 1998).
Recently, therefore, we investigated whether IDE release from the cultured cells is specific or not (results were reported at the 5th International Conference on Progress in Alzheimer¹s and Parkinson¹s disease (2001) Kyoto, Japan.

Kyoto Debate   (Site not responding. Last check: 2007-10-31)
The First Kyoto Debate on a Scandal in the Taking, began with a film produced by the Friends of Science showing what appears to be politically-motivated manipulations of climate change science and data by bureaucrats in the UN Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC).
After the film, David Hawkins, Forensic Economist at Hawks CAFE, identified the financial drive behind the Kyoto Accord, including a series of apparently-syndicated frauds on Canada’s federal and provincial treasury boards directed by senior bureaucrats, international bankers (Global Custodians) and the 28+ special investors in the CAI Private Equity Group (“CAI”).
In 2001, CAI special investor Larry Bell was appointed chairman of BC Hydro and, in 2003, became a director of Hydro’s partnership with Accenture.

The following summary is based on a preliminary survey of VRE and MRSA and a report of surveillance for antimicrobial susceptibility in Japan conducted by the Medical Information System Development Center.
