The thing Ila Borders needs to recognize is that she wouldn´t have been out there playing baseball in high school and college, much less professionally, if not for all of the groundwork laid by the feminists who, among other things, helped ensure the passage of Title IX.
Obviously, Borders wouldn´t have gotten this far if she didn´t also have natural talent and a lot of determination, but there were a lot of women before her who had talent (I´ve played with some of them on the softball field) who never had her opportunities.
I in no way expect or want Ila Borders, or anyone else, to say she is a feminist or a lesbian if she isn´t one.
