		Ilchester Cricket Club was established in 2000 by the Postmaster of Ilchester, Mike Morley, whose vision was to provide an opportunity for the people of Ilchester and the surrounding area to play cricket, with sportsmanship rather than sporting excellence being the central theme.
		Membership is derived almost wholly from within the Parish of Ilchester and, although playing membership is currently all male, this is most certainly not a requirement; the Club welcomes men and women, old and young, of any standard.
		The Club is fortunate to benefit from excellent support from the Ilchester Town Trust, Ilchester Parish Council and also one or two local businesses.
