Interview with Mistress Ilsa Strix |
 | | Ilsa: My heroes are women who have been through incest and abuse and dysfunction, all the horrors that happen to people, and can still stand tall and retain their power to love and create and make harmonies for other people. |
 | | Ilsa: First of all, trusting the woman you’re dealing with, and realizing that when she says she does nothing that is directly sexual, illegal, or nonconsenual, she means what she says. |
 | | Ilsa: I got into this work because it was the only job I could think of that involved creativity and liberation, and gave me enough time to do my art, my writing, my self-searching, my self-healing, and all of the other things that comprise my life. |
