		Once you hear it, it will no doubt become the standard by which you judge all other power metal albums.
		He is completely different from any other singer out there - rather than a high-pitched power metal tenor or brutish growling, Hansi's voice is raspy and sounds strained almost all the time.

		There are several ballads for a change, but none of them approaches the teary teenage angst outpourings that exemplify other bands.
		Digging into the wealth that is Tolkien, BG's concept album deals with the Silmarillion and comprises 22 pieces, of which half are songs and half---interludes, sometimes dialogue, other times light tunes.
		My other favorite song (the first being the second one) is ``Mirror Mirror,'' which is not surprising as it appears to be one of the most popular songs from NIME---it has its own Maxi, there's a T-shirt, and a video.

		Since I had heard albums like "Imaginations from the Other Side" before hearing this one, this was sort of a shock to me. I must say it was a pleasant shock, as I think I almost like these old platters a bit more than the later discs.
		"Imaginations from the Other Side" has it all: great songs, tight musicianship, strong vocals and cool cover art to boot.
		This is a great followup to "Imaginations from the Other Side." Despite having great success in Japan and Germany, this would be the first album to be released in the U.S. Century Media is suppose to re-issue some of their back catalogue as well.

		IMO, if you would want to try but one album of this German metal warriors then Imaginations From the Other Side would be my recommendation.
		While much better produced and worked than their previous albums, in a clear demonstration of sound evolution, Imaginations From The Other Side is still my favorite Blind Guardian album, though they would latter further explore their new orientations and definitely settling their style.
		This is the best place to start the discovering of this band, and I simply dig this album more times than any other by this band.

		Given the complex changes and textures of most of the album, the only track that doesn't instantly appeal, but for a single lyric, is "I'm Alive." It is a dense, brutal pummeling, that but for the "pre-chorus," leaves no breathing room.
		There's nothing particularly wrong with this track, but I don't like it quite as much as the other tracks.

		A good song that nevertheless lacks some of the expressive nerve found in the other cuts, it becomes a bit too placid if you ask me.
		Generally the album is about fantasy tales and mysterious elements; themes like spirituality, religion (and abuse of it), search for essential questions and inner peace and fighting your way through difficult times.
		On the musical side the album offers some fantastic well played songs.
