Immaculata High School is a Roman catholic high school in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada.
It was founded as an all-girls school in 1928 by the Grey Sisters as an alternative to public school education for girls of moderate income, and located at 211 Bronson Avenue.
Major changes include expansions in 1950, 1963 and 1967, the addition of male students in 1978, the addition of grades 7 and 8 in 1983, and the move in September 1994 to the current location at 140 Main Street.

For the sixth year in a row, Immaculata entered a team of students and teachers in the Run for the Cure to run or walk a 5 krn distance on October 1 in support of breast cancer research.
Immaculata raised $2,800 and placed second out of all the schools in the Ottawa region.
Immaculata High School would like to thank its school community and numerous businesses who have supported these events and have helped make this Immaculata's most successful fund-raising year for cancer research.

Educators and parents in Centretown reject an American educator’s claim that high school is “boring” or a “complete waste of time” after Grade 10.
Bernard Swords, principal of Immaculata High School, says he doesn’t give a lot of weight to Botstein’s theory that high school should end after Grade 10 and students should then move on to higher education, national service or vocational schools.
She says the last two years of school contain a lot of learning, but adds there are places where she’d like to see improvement.

 Tennis prodigy courts fame
In the final tournament of the season, Ashley Smith, a Grade 9 student at Immaculata high school, beat girls in their OAC year on her way to a first-place finish.
Ann Williams, who supervises Immaculata’s tennis team, says Smith is lucky to have access to an indoor court, and says it’s too expensive for most tennis players in Ottawa to play year-round.
Gatt says high school level competition in Ottawa is not particularly strong because many of the girls aren’t serious tennis players.

Mayville says the theatre is "the least expensive in Ottawa." Other bonuses include a reception hall for 200 and several rehearsal rooms.
Fext said the draping gave the space "much more a theatre atmosphere and less a high school auditorium." Another plus was that it considerably improved acoustics in the cavernous facility.
