Imminent is a Belgian musical project formerly, and still commonly known as Imminent Starvation.
It is a staple act of Germany’s industrial and power noise record label, Ant-Zen.
Imminent Starvation was founded by Olivier Moreau, who has been its only member since its inception.

I had been in a band called Phoenix Park (horrible, horrible band, and it's all my fault) with Joan Rusza and had loved her singing, so she was a natural to call.
We sounded nothing like a roots band in the usual sense of the word, but there was something about the feel of the band that definitely connected us to much earlier, earthier styles of music.
That band unfortunately dissolved when the trombone player moved to Montreal and the clarinet player was forced to realize that being a father of two, manager of a movie theatre and a composer left precious little time to make caveman music.

Recession loomed and in 1980 the company was no longer able to continue its financial support, but fortunately the Band was able to secure support firstly from Browns Musical of Lincoln and then Airquick (Newark) Ltd. This lasted through the 80’s until the early 90’s.
The decline in funds mirrored the Band's rapid decline and it was a struggle to maintain a band at all.
The Band's final concert was in the grounds of the Castle in the centre of Newark and the last number they played was "Old Comrades".

Following the previous remix 10" picture disc by Imminent Starvation and Synapscape we have the 8 track EP Screenwalking.
Screenwalking a collaboration to accompany the recent touring by Synapscape and the renamed Imminent.
But there are subtle and experimental moments here and through the course we can clearly feel the influence of both bands.

Apparently this Belgian band had just released their first CD Human Dislocation - which I got a friend to pick up for me the next time any of us were anywhere which sold a half decent selection of CDs (you know, somewhere like London...).
All Imminent Starvation material has been recorded on the one mixing desk - a piece of equipment which has now been broken down, and bits of it are included in these 707 boxes!
For me Imminent Starvation are one of the pioneers in the new field of hard ambient techno noise music.

Kyle played bass in a high school band, and has a great understanding of how to solidify a rhythm section to be a great foundation for a band.
The band played its first gig in early 2002 to a packed house of patrons (with a good number of friends and family in the crowd) at "TRADERS" in Chesapeake Beach.
This time, because the band had a specific direction, and had gigs in the not-too-distant future, it had to be someone special, who could quickly jump in, learn 50 - 60 songs and be ready to work very quickly.

As one of the four bands on the seminal No New York compilation, Mars attained a small level of renown, but, by December of 1978, the dissolution of the band was imminent, staved off temporarily only by a recording session a few weeks after their last show.
