The closest to a category 3 moment in dance is perhaps the entrance of Cupid in "Daphnis and Chloe" by Graham Murphy (Sykes, 1980:23).
The metaphorical interpretations of a dance movement in the mind of a percipient may not always be those intended by the choreographer or dancer.
The observer of a dance mentally captures the "fleeting moment" in a number of different ways: via the spatial form as in the visual arts, via temporal repetition and form, as in music, and via the communication of meaning as in the literary arts.
