ICANN | Guidelines for the Implementation of Internationalized Domain Names, Version 1.0
The implementation approach set forth in these Guidelines was endorsed by the ICANN Board on 27 March 2003.
In implementing the IDN standards, top-level domain registries will employ an "inclusion-based" approach (meaning that code points that are not explicitly permitted by the registry are prohibited) for identifying permissible code points from among the full Unicode repertoire.
In implementing the IDN standards, top-level domain registries should, at least initially, limit any given domain label (such as a second-level domain name) to the characters associated with one language or set of languages only.

Reference implementation (computing) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
In computing, a reference implementation (or, infrequently, sample implementation) is a software example of a standard for use in helping others implement their own versions of the standard.
A reference implementation is, in general, an implementation of a specification to be used as a definitive interpretation for that specification.
However, the X.org reference implementation of the X Window System is not only ready for use, but is increasingly popular on open source Unix-like operating systems as-is; this is helped by the current version being a fork of the popular XFree86 implementation that X.org then declared to be the reference implementation.

 CRM Implementation
Implementing effective eMail response management system (ITtoolbox CRM)- This paper is intended to unlock the potential of email CRM support system and facilitate businesses/technology to understand critical technical components and process.
Based on extensive experience with implementing large-scale CRM initiatives, the authors cover data, technology, organizational and strategic issues that must be addressed during the planning process to avoid costly barriers to success.
These implementations fail for many reasons: outdated business processes and models, faulty project management and inadequate software applications, but the most insidious risk factor for CRM failure is the quality of the data underlying the initiative.

Design Patterns in AOP - Jan Hannemann 2002+
When the software design patterns were first identified, the sample implementations were geared to the current state of the art in object-oriented languages.
Other work has shown that the implementation language affects pattern implementation, which makes it natural to explore the effect of aspect-oriented programming techniques on the implementation of the GoF patterns.
In some cases this is reflected in a new solution structure with fewer or different participants; in other cases, the only the implementation of the classes in the originally proposed solution changes (for example by moving pattern code from the participants into an aspect).

This section discusses implementation considerations for a name server which shares a database with a resolver, but most of these concerns are present in any name server.
Database While name server implementations are free to use any internal data structures they choose, the suggested structure consists of three major parts: - A "catalog" data structure which lists the zones available to this server, and a "pointer" to the zone data structure.

Rijndael in JavaScript   (Site not responding. Last check: 2007-10-09)
As a reference implementation, it is unoptimized, meaning that it is not suitable for large amounts of data (say, more than several kilobytes) or speed-critical applications.
If you need to interoperate with other implementations (for example, a Perl CGI), you will want to take care that padding is added and stripped in a consistent manner, or switch one of many standard padding schemes.
