  Social contract
Social contract is a phrase used in philosophy, political science, and sociology to denote a real or hypothetical agreement within a state regarding the rights and responsibilities of the state and its citizens, or more generally a similar concord between a group and its members.
Contract theory is certainly not new; Cicero (106-43 BC) posited such a theory in the latter stages of the Roman Republic.
In the same way that implicit contracts in these circumstances standardize interactions to make them simpler and cheaper to support, enhancing the value of capital, social contract can likewise increase the social capital (a formal term for trust), and what's more this is measurable.

Contingent and Alternative Employment Arrangements, February 2005 Technical Note
For workers who have a job with an intermediary, namely a temporary help agency or a contract company, information is collected about their employment at the place they are assigned to work by the intermediary as well as their employment with the intermediary itself.
The rationale for asking how long an individual expects to remain in his or her current job is that being able to hold a job for a year or more could be taken as evidence of at least an implicit contract for ongoing employment.
Individuals who work for temporary help agencies or contract companies are considered contingent under estimate 1 only if they expect their employment arrangement with the temporary help or contract company to last for 1 year or less and they have worked for that company for 1 year or less.

An implicit contract is defined as : "Shared understandings that are not legally enforceable but that the parties consider to be binding on one another's conduct" (p.599).
An employment contract is a good example of a relational contract, because it delegates authority to the employer to direct the employees actions rather than describing precisely the work that has to be done in every contingency.
