Unfortunately, the decision to dispense with the vehicle-launched bridge section was not reconsidered, and lack of bridging during the enemy offensive proved a major factor in the loss of tanks.

In Enemy Hands - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
In Enemy Hands is a military science fiction novel, the seventh in the Honor Harrington series by David Weber.
Honor did not return alone: however, as her treecat Nimitz had mated with Samantha, one of her former officer's treecat, and had borne treekittens; as well, Nimitz's clan had dispatched 8 adult treecats to help raise the kittens and also to establish a new treecat colony on Grayson.
The journey towards Hades is marked by Honor's torture at the hands of StateSec and the general mistreatment of the other Manticoran prisoners, as well as the defection to the Republic of Horace Harkness.

Enemy Nations presents real-time strategy gamers with, if not something exactly new, at least a new combination of gaming styles.
It's either a case of the designers truly believing that Enemy Nations is the most highly developed game in existence, or an extreme example of the emperor's new clothes.
Enemy Nations is a complex game with poor AI and even worse pathing.

The vehicle play is essentially what you'd expect, although there's a permission system when someone tries to board that gives the driver the option to accept or refuse them as a gunner or passenger.
As you'd expect from a Quake game, Enemy Territory is certainly a pretty game to look at, and there didn't even appear to be any stuttering, aliasing or tearing in the level.
Presuming that option is on the way, Enemy Territory should be a nice change for gamers looking to get a bit more cerebral with their Quake-inspired experiences.

In Enemy Hands by David Weber - Prolog - Baen Books
Now that he had proof he not only had enemies but that they could be deadly dangerous, he was desperate to reach out for anything which might lend the Committee even a tiny bit more stability, strengthen his hand in any way he could.
Even worse, its persistent failures to throw the enemy back and save the Republic—which was probably at least partly due to its disloyalty—only reinforced her contempt with fear that it would fail to save her, and it was starting to get out of hand.
They'd been enemies, but enemies who understood one another, and Ransom the not-so-ex-terrorist had absolutely no understanding of or sympathy for the traditions and values of the military community.

CNN - Public Enemy downloads challenge to industry - May 6, 1999
According to Public Enemy mastermind Chuck D., this is part of the group's plan to usher in the age of digital music -- and give a heads-up to major labels hesitant to embrace the new medium.
Under terms of the agreement, for example, Public Enemy is not forced to deliver a set number of albums, is not tied to Atomic Pop for any definitive amount of time and retains the rights to master recordings.
Public Enemy, considered one of the most definitive and controversial rap groups, is best remembered for such classic albums such as the 1988 platinum "It Takes a Nation of Millions to Hold Us Back." It fused offbeat samples and traditional funk with Chuck D.'s politically charged lyrics.

By the end of the movie the American and German sailors are forced to work together to survive, something that would not have come easy in the middle of a war where they should have been enemies.
In this story the lives of each of the sailors depended on their former ‘enemies’ it would have taken a huge amount of trust to lay your lives in their hands.
Sometimes it’s not until we are forced into difficult situations (a sinking disease-infested enemy submarine in the middle of a war) that we really rise to the occasion and grow into something greater.

Of course, the GSN had given her a much freer hand than the Manticoran Admiralty had ever given any RMN admiral, but that made her accomplishments no less impressive.
Most of them had followed Nimitz's example and adopted the custom of shaking hands, and the nods and ear flicks and flirted tails of the ones who hadn't had clearly been intended as formal gestures of greeting.
Steadholder Harrington, on the other hand, freshly returned to her own steading, was senior to anyone short of Protector Benjamin himself, and the instinctive grace with which she'd split the difference between her two personae impressed the earl.

Perry’s hero, Dante Giovanni, is a bounty hunter known for getting his man. When Dante is asked to reunite a father with his daughter, he accepts the job not for the hefty paycheck, but because Dante understands the pain of a parent separated from their child.
In Enemy Hands bucks the current trend of heroes and heroines in the late twenties and early thirties in favor two characters in their mid-twenties.
Despite the forced beginning, the romance between Dante and Nadia isn’t weak, yet it is the weakest element of In Enemy Hands.

The last conscious thought in the mind of Private Jock Macalister as he reached the German trench was to get down into it; his next conscious thought to get out of it.
The trench was boxed into small compartments by the traverses, and in the next section Macalister found three Germans waiting for him.
This performance was repeated exactly in all its details through the next half-dozen traverses, the only exception being that in one an excitable German, making violent motions with a bayonet as he appeared round the corner, insisted on his holding his hands over his head.
