		Leader Jeff Kelly had originally planned In a Glass Darkly as a Goblin Market side project with collaborator Laura Weller, but after further examination and rumination decided it was Green Pajamas material after all.
		Inspired by the writings of J. Le Fanu, In a Glass Darkly is a bit more somber than recent Green Pajamas output.

		In A Glass Darkly is comprised of 5 lengthy short stories that are loosely woven together by the figure of Dr. Martin Hesselius, a "psychic doctor." Three of the five stories, "Green Tea," "Justice Harbottle," and "Carmilla," are classics of the Victorian ghost story genre, and are frequently anthologized.
		In my opinion, it is best to read them as they originally appeared, along with "The Watcher," and "A Room in the Dragon Volant," because Le Fanu had his reasons for ordering these five tales the way he did.
		'In a Glass Darkly' is a perfect example of this, with its unreliable narrators, fractured narratives, mysteries, ambiguities, terrors, obsession with failures of the mind and body, and disruptive sexualities.

	Green Pajamas: In a Glass Darkly EP Aversion.com Review
		While the author’s writings – including his classic vampire novel, Carmilla – provide the Pajamas with a foundation for the songs on this collection, the thick, rambling neo-psychedelia the band built its name on is the real thrust of this album.
		All literary connections aside, In a Glass Darkly is cut from the cloth that mates psychedelic instrumental rambling to dark atmospherics while successfully breeding out much of the pretense and pomp that frequently comes with the styles.
		Whether PJs mix occasional washes of fuzz-box guitars with swirling keyboard melodies to catch a vibe that suggests a B-side from The Cure’s Disintegration (1989, Elektra) ("Uncle Silas"), or ditches its psychedelic trappings in favor of simple acoustic guitars ("Laura Silver Bell"), the Pajamas take on a wide swath of styles on this record.
