		The fascinating premise of the series, so carefully planned and worked out over the course of season one, is shunted aside (along with most of the supporting cast) from the very first episode, virtually destroying the compelling personal undertone that had given the series much of its punch.

		As in almost every single episode of the show, “Dark Angel” requires the dispatching of a small army of soldiers and low-level thugs that are invariably no match for the gal’s strength and agility.
		Since the developer is obviously aiming low with “Dark Angel’s” learning curve it’s just a matter of kicking as much ass as fast as humanly possible to build-up the Rage meter and unleash some serious (but visually underwhelming) virtual pain.

		The only people who should read this book are die hard Dark Angel fans,and even then (as one) I couldn't stop cringing, there are so many glaringinconsistencies and blatant contrivences coupled with repititiousplundering of the series dialogue, and terrible imitations of it that thebook is almost unreadable.
		This is now the third book written by Max Allan Collins on the Dark Angel series and so his ability to convey the characters accurately is not in question - HOWEVER all the big questions are all answered in the last 20 or so pages of the book.
		Whilst this is forgivable (it is dark angel after all) the showdown feels a bit of let down - ending the whole "Familiar" story line abruptly - bypassing much of the tension built aound the Mayan hieroglyphics, Sandeman and Max's non-redundant DNA.

		It was nice to watch, as i did not really understand Dark Angel's plotline yet, and i was able to just sit back and watch without thinking about it.
		And he's obviously a white man, so of course he wouldn't have rhythm like a fl man (again, she started it), but if Boo is any indication, Normal may have his own kind of rhythm and be able to dance a mean jig.

	Valjean's "Dark Angel" Fanfiction
		They begin not too long after the novel AFTER THE DARK ends, in 2022, and incorporate material from the television show, the three novels, and THE EYES ONLY DOSSIER (but are totally separate from all previous stories I've written).
		I've also made use of illustrations picturing "guest stars" (and regular characters) in the stories to give more of a feel that these truly are "episodes" of an ongoing series.
		There are a few premises that can be taken for granted, the main ones being as follows: Max and Logan have split up for good (the reasons of which will not be spelled out directly at first); and Max and Alec have become rather adversarial, antagonistic (but extremely devoted) lovers.
