		Incat Australia, the struggling Tasmanian builder of high-speed catamarans, hopes the service of its ships during the war in Iraq will help win contracts worth more than $A1 billion from the US Defence Department.
		Incat chairman Robert Clifford is on a one-month tour of America trying to position the company for a share of naval transport orders as a more militarily active US increases the mobility of its fighting forces.
		If Incat wins a significant portion of these contracts, the company believes it may have to establish a factory in the US and hire 50 per cent of its staff there.

		After her charter ended she was laid up until May 1999 when the Australian Government leased her from Incat and commissioned Incat 045 into the Royal Australian Navy.
		She was decommissioned on 11 May 2001 and returned to Incat under her original name and was once again laid up.
		In 2002 Incat 045 was chartered to Italian ferry company TRIS and sailed between Genua and Palau under the marketing name of Winneruntil the collapse of the company later in 2002.
