All water users of the IHGID water system are hereby notified that at a public hearing on September 6, 2006, the Nevada State Environmental Commission granted the Indian Hills General Improvement District an extension to comply with the revised arsenic standard of 10 parts per billion (ppb) by January 23, 2009.
The Nevada State Environmental Commission concluded that the District was unable to comply with the regulation due to compelling factors and that there would be no risk to the public’s health.
