Indian Lake is a lake in Logan County in western Ohio in the United States.
The lake was a well-known vacation resort and was popularized in song by The Cowsills during the 1960s.
Much of the lake area, including the Indian Isles, is of the Huntsville mailing address, although Huntsville, Ohio is located several miles east of the lake.

Old Indian Lake was built in 1851 as a feeder lake for the Miami and Erie Canal to maintain the required four-foot water depth.
Following the passage of a resolution by the Ohio General Assembly in 1850 to use Indian Lake as a water supply for the canal, a bulkhead was built in Washington Township where the Great Miami River began and covered 1,000 acres.
Indian Lake became a popular resort area at the turn of the century due to its central location on the old Toledo and Ohio Central Steamline and the Ohio Electric Railway.

We generally try to schedule a ride at Wayne National Forest (Athens District) in southern Ohio at least once a month, although this year we haven't had as many rides as usual.
Due to flood damage, wnf didn't open until July 1st instead of the usual April 15th and by that time it was hot, dusty, and probably alot crowded with many riders who were having wnf withdrawals.
We're hoping to schedule one more ride before the trails close on December 15th but those plans are still up in the air as of yet.
