		The Indianapolis Ice is the name of a former hockey team in Indianapolis, Indiana that played in the International Hockey League from 1988–99 and in the Central Hockey League from 1999–2004.
		In 2004, a new team named the Indiana Ice came into existence in the United States Hockey League, after the CHL Ice moved to Topeka.
		The Ice won the 1991 Turner Cup and the 2000 Ray Miron Cup.

		The agreement is a reunion of sorts for the Ice and 'Hawks as Indy served as the primary affiliate for Chicago for ten years during its International Hockey League days (1989-99).
		As part of the arrangement, the Ice will receive several players from the Admirals at the completion of Norfolk's training camp which is set to begin in the end of September.

		The suit, filed in Marion Superior Court on Wednesday, alleges the CHL violated its sanctioning agreement with the Ice by merging with the Western Professional Hockey League.
