Indigo as the Outsiders knew her was essentially a subprogram, designed by 8's "grandfather" Brainiac 6 to endear her to the superhero community.

DS: Most of my artistic influences are from outside of comics, but if we’re talking about technical influences, people who have influenced the craft itself rather than any artistic direction, then I think it’s fair to say that most of my early influences were from 2000AD artists.
Comics are the best way to do that on your own in a room with the minimum amount of materials.

The book, which Schaffer is illustrating, is a collaboration with Katiejane Garside, the front woman for the UK rock band, Queenadreena.
Indigo Vertigo was conceived by Garside and Schaffer, and the story explores the psychological breakdown and breakthrough of a single character through a sequence of hallucinatory scenes.
As the frontwoman for Queenadreena, Katiejane merges nursery rhyme angst with vicious and tense raw noise — she is the proverbial damaged child poet, squirming and screaming love and defiance through chainsaw guitar riffs and tribal drums at the cutting edge of UK punk, goth and hardcore.

Indigo prophecy is a very unique adventure game, more so in the sense of classic PC adventure games then anything else, but even that doesn't explain it well enough.
The fact that the game is hard to classify should tell you right off the bat that it's pretty original, which very much it is. But, if I had to classify it in some sense, I would say that it is an evolution of the classic PC Adventure game (as mentioned above).
I think I liked it so much simply because it was so different from what weve been playing these last few years.

 Indigo Prophecy Review
While being a hard pill to swallow for any writer, the Indigo Prophecy script manages to fuse these elements into an engrossing plot that has its mature moments, its "teen movie" shots of the scantly clothed Carla, as well as sex scenes featuring nudity.
Fortunately, the nude scenes are done in a very mature and professional manner, adding more to the sense of immersion and strengthening your emotional bond with the characters, and are not gratuitous.
Granted, since Indigo Prophecy is trying its very best to emulate the cinematic experience of good movies, it does somewhat fail to present the evolution of the main characters' relationship in a natural manner, but I really shouldn't be too nitpicky.

Right off the bat, you'll discover Indigo Prophecy to be a dark, brooding experience, as the opening sequence is definitely disturbing.
This stage setting is representative of the cinematic nature of the entire game; from the intricate, slow-motion action sequences to the picture-in-picture and split screen instances that advances the plot and conveys simultaneous action.
Through Indigo Prophecy you'll mainly control three characters, the mentally ravaged Lucas Kane, icy detective Carla Vincent, and Carla's upbeat partner, Tyler Miles.
