Thailand beat Indonesia in a penalty shoot-out to win the Southeast Asia nations' Tiger Cup in Jakarta earlier this month in front of 120,000 fans.
Withe, who coached the Thai team since 1998 until his contract ran out in October, said the Thai FA were happy with his record and with recent results.
Withe also guided Thailand to a gold medal at the 1999 Southeast Asia Games and reached the World Cup 2002 qualifying rounds for the first time.
