The Carlisle - Nicholas County Industrial Development Authority (IDA) has moved one step closer to ensuring that 13 former employees of PanelMaster in Carlisle receive wages not paid them during the time PanelMaster was in operation in the former Jockey International sew-ing plant building on Concrete Road.
The temporary injunction against PanelMaster was initiated by the Department of Labor in an attempt to collect necessary funds for payment to the former employees.
The temporary injunction prevented the Industrial Authority from selling the property, which had been handled by the unpaid employees, and its removal was contingent upon the IDA having received an offer to purchase the “hot goods” at an amount equal to or exceeding the $7,333.46.
