		The Infectious Grooves are a Funk metal band led by Suicidal Tendencies frontman Mike Muir.
		Though Muir's sense of humor was often obvious with Suicidal Tendencies, Infectious Grooves often brought out a goofier type of humor: their albums contain comedy skits by a reptilian lover named Sarsippius.

		In 1992 Suicidal Tendencies released Art Of Rebellion, emphasizing their new found funk and pop influences, and continued the band’s success with the singles "Gotta Kill Captain Stupid" and, perhaps the bands best known song to date, the corssover hit "I'll Hate You Better".
		1993 also saw the release of another Infectious Grooves album, Sarsippius' Ark, which featured the hit "These Freaks Are Here To Party".

		Not as schizophrenically eclectic as Faith No More, nor as arty as Jane's Addiction, the Grooves' funk-metal is good-humored and full of attitude, without seeming smug or macho; their output was fairly consistent and similar, although this album contains mild MTV hits like "Punk It Up" and is therefore the best first purchase.
