In the Thanos Quest, Thanos stole the six Infinity Gems from the Elders of the Universe that guarded the gems.
The Infinity Gauntlet is a six-issue limited series, written by Jim Starlin and pencilled by George Perez and Ron Lim, and published by Marvel Comics group in 1991.
The Infinity Gauntlet series was interwoven into the normal Marvel universe in a massive crossover and the resulting catastrophes had massive ramifications on the Marvel universe as a whole, with the events of the series being directly continued in the ongoing series Warlock and the Infinity Watch and the limited series/crossover event The Infinity War.

Terraxia only showed up in the "Infinity Gauntlet", a cosmic proportion saga from 1991, written by Jim Starlin, which featured the Eternal Thanos just after he conquered the 6 Infinity Gems, which granted him the omnipotence.
His alledged granddaughter, Nebula (who was transported to the monument in the beginning of the saga as a walking corpse, as an attempt to both impress Death and punish her for her insolence), sees the Gauntlet on his inanimate body and takes it for herself, becoming the new omnipotent being, and assuming her previous form.
At the end of the "Infinity Gauntlet", Adam Warlock retained the Gauntlet, and all of those who died during the confrontations were resurrected, many with no recollection of what had happened to them.

Yeah, missed the part of the Infinity Gauntlet where Thanos demonstrated absolute control of the fundamental pillars of the multiverse, to the point of stomping all over the abstract entities of the MU that so embodied and controlled them themselves?
The gauntlet sans a gem was powerful enough to destroy and rebuild the entire multiverse.
Hell, Galactus and Tyrant at their full charge had fights where the side effects of their fight were destroying galaxies in the multiple, and the Gauntlet sans a gem has casually owned Galactus.

It is revealed to them that while Warlock held the Infinity Gauntlet he purged himself of good and evil and thus gave Magus being once more.
Nevertheless Infinity Gauntlet was able to go from point A to point B in simple logical steps that anyone can understand.
I think Gauntlet was a much better story in that although it was a cosmic epic it was still a relatively easy story to understand.

Here's a guy who went out and killed off some of the lamer comic legends to attain the Infinity Gems, which are kinda like what that girl from No Doubt sometimes wears on her forehead, only they had special powers.
As was the case with the Cosmic Cube, Thanos subconsciously planted the seeds to his defeat, allowing his charred granddaughter, Nebula, to seize the Gauntlet.
While Infinity War did have a slight charm, the plot oversights were more obvious than those in any given episode of Star Trek: The Next Generation.

What I liked most about Infinity Gauntlet wasn't so much the storyline, but the artwork of George Perez.
Thanos created an all powerful Gauntlet of the Infinity Gems (collected in a plot line that lasted about a year in various books) to make himself all powerful.

Thanos, around the time of the Infinity Gauntlet, after acquiring all the gems decides he's bored of the Marvel universe and therefore shifts his little temple to self and Mistress Death to the DC Universe (ignoring that the Infinity Gauntlet doesn't work in DCU, of course)
With the Infinity Gauntlet he IS the Marvel Universe.
Therefore since the Infinity Gauntlet was unable to defeat The Living Tribunal, a small leap of logic would dictate that it would also be unable to defeat The Spectre in DCU
