Topic: Information set

  XML Information Set (Second Edition)
The information set of an XML document is defined to be the one obtained by parsing it according to the rules of the specification whose version corresponds to that of the document.
Information sets may be constructed by other means, for example by use of an API such as the DOM or by transforming an existing information set.
This may not be true of an information set constructed by other means; in such a case there will be no XML document corresponding to the information set, and to serialize it will require resolution of the inconsistencies (for example, by outputting namespace declarations that correspond to the namespaces in scope).

The Cover Pages: New working draft of XML Information Set published
An XML document's information set consists of a number of information items (the information set for any well-formed XML document will contain at least a document information item and several others).
An information item is an abstract representation of some part of an XML document: each information item has a set of associated properties.
As long as the information in the information set is made available to XML applications in one way or another, the requirements of this document are satisfied.

Introduction to the Darwin Information Typing Architecture
Information designers know that when they reuse a topic in a new information model, the architecture will process it consistently in its new context.
Generally, when a set of infotyped topics are used within a domain of knowledge, such as computer software or hardware, a common vocabulary is shared across the infotyped topics.
The use of this information or the implementation of any of these techniques described in this document is the reader's responsibility and depends on the reader's ability to evaluate and integrate them into their operating environment.

The XML Information Set does not require or favour a specific interface or class of interfaces.
One of the element information items corresponds to the document element (the root of the element tree), and all other element information items are children of the document element, either directly or indirectly.

Religious Movements Homepage: Temple of Set
Set was depicted most commonly as a human form with some sort of animal head, featuring a long, curved snout and upright ears.
At times Set was widely worshipped as a god representing individual consciousness, as well as the darker forces of nature (thunder, deserts, etc.).
In some Egyptian myths, Set was born by violently bursting out of the side of his mother's womb, killed his brother Osiris, and was in the business of stealing dead people's souls in the underworld.

 Persisting Session Information
While information like passwords should continue to be persisted through server-side solutions with robust security, unsecure information can be persisted on the client across sessions.
A chief concern of using session information is that a user may attempt to access a page in the middle of a required series of operations.
A script is defined for the window object's onunload event handler, where the persistent information is set and saved.

XML Information Set - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
XML Information Set (Infoset) is a W3C specification describing an abstract data model of an XML document in terms of a set of information items.
The definitions in the XML Information Set specification are meant to be used in other specifications that need to refer to the information in a well-formed XML document.
An XML document has an information set if it is well-formed and satisfies the namespace constraints.

Information set - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
In game theory, an information set is a set that, for a particular player, establishes all the possible moves that could have taken place in the game so far, given what that player has observed so far.
If the game has perfect information, every information set contains only one member, namely the point actually reached at that stage of the game.
When play reaches the information set, the player with the move cannot differentiate between nodes within the information set, i.e.

Outcome and Assessment Information Set (OASIS) Update
This Information Bulletin addresses the delay in conducting a comprehensive assessment utilizing the Outcome and Assessment Information Set (OASIS) and transmission of the OASIS data to the State Agency.
In order for this mandate to be valid, HCFA needs to obtain appropriate clearances under the Paperwork Reduction Act, prepare and provide an individual Privacy Act notice for patients, and publish a Privacy Act notice of the existence and character of the OASIS system of records.
What this means is that if a HHA were to encode and transmit a private pay patient record to the State Agency system, the agency would receive a fatal record error and this will result in the rejection of the individual record.

A uniform minimum data set for home care and hospice is a minimum set of items of information with uniform definitions and categories, concerning the specific dimension of home care and hospice services, that meets the essential information needs of multiple data users in the health care system.
