In June 1196 she married Philip II., king of France, who had repudiated Ingeborg of Denmark in 1193.
The pope espoused the cause of Ingeborg; but Philip did not submit until 1200, when, interdict having been added to excommunication, he consented to a separation from Agnes.
She died in July of the next year, at the castle of Poissy, and was buried in the church of St Corentin, near Nantes.

Prior to coming to the United States, Ingeborg had been employed as a chocolate dipper in one of Denmark's largest chocolate factories, and she brought many of her delicious recipes from the old country to her Solvang shop, some of which are close to 70 years old.
My wife and I purchased the Chocolate Factory from Ingeborg in 1976, and still probably create and produce these original recipes to offer you fine chocolates in the true Danish tradition.
