Ihr breitgefächertes Repertoire von Monteverdi, über Bach, Mozart, Schubert bis zu Wolf, Berg, Messiaen und den zeitgenössischen Komponisten spiegelt sich in ihrer umfangreichen Discographie wieder.
In der kommenden Saison 2002/03 gestaltet Ingrid Schmithüsen zahlreiche Liederabende; ein Höhepunkt ist zweifellos das Eröffnungskonzert des Bonner Beethovenfestes mit Liedern von Kurtág, Beethoven und Mahler.
