Obviously, the Orange monster was originally meant to be the dumbest of the four, and the Red one was the smartest.

I don't believe it's had much of a physical description other than being "inky fl with tentacles and lots of teeth".
Neither Krikor nor Ebony know why the monster is there - Krikor has just revealed that he really doesn't care, and has his own agenda.
The monster was trying to attack Wind, suspecting her to be the strongest Senshi.

She had no idea what the evil, murderous monsters were or where they came from, whether they were an invading force of evil minions or simply abominations who came to her town by chance, but she wasn't about to let them take over her hometown of Lula, Georgia without a fight.
It was a thankless job to fight the beasts with their blistered, slimy skin, and inky fl blood but she couldn't in good conscious shirk her duties, the innocent small-town people relied on her, whether they knew it or not!
Unfortunately, this particular monster was like none of the others that she usually fought.

Once you eat a monster it's eyes are the only thing left until they return to the monster bull pin, and the monster regenerates back, comes out of the monster bull pin, and is on the move again though the maze.
Since the monsters usually take their routes, this buys you time in order to pick up more dots usually on the other side of the maze.
The monsters always go slower though the tunnel then you do, and it confuses them as to where you are on the maze.
