  City of Stirling - Innaloo
While the name Innaloo was adopted in 1927, it was originally referred to as Njookenbooroo; believed to be derived from the Aboriginal name for Herdsman Lake or a nearby swamp.
The area now known as Innaloo was originally part of land bought by Thomas Mews in 1831 and, while subdivision in northern Innaloo was approved in 1898, development lagged for many years.
Innaloo also contains a scattering of duplex homes and recently built units, which are gradually replacing older housing stock.

 Innaloo, Western Australia - Travelmate
Take the Mitchell Freeway north-west out of Perth’s CBD and within a few minutes you’ll be able to turn off into the comfortable, if somewhat eccentrically-named, suburb of Innaloo, which lies between the freeway and fine Indian Ocean beaches such as Scarborough and Brighton.
On Innaloo’s southern fringes are the pleasant recreational areas around Jackadder Lake and, especially, the Herdsman Lake Regional Park - a haven for birdwatchers.
The quiet urbanity of Innaloo can be put into perspective quickly by taking a quick trip back into the bright lights of Perth's CBD.

Such is the case at Innaloo’s Sasuke Japanese Takeaway, owned and run by chef Shinji Nomura.
I have to admit that when I saw Sasuke tucked away in the shopping strip opposite Bunnings in Innaloo, I was a bit sceptical.
It is nestled among a host of dated buildings and, while the area is home to a couple of really good restaurants, it was hard to imagine that a tiny shop could produce a good supply of fresh, authentic Japanese food.

I'll probably be going to Innaloo, it's a lot closer to me. I wish Warwick Grand was nicer, I love their Megastadium.
Um nah I don't think they have it anymore coz of costs and such....they don't do as well as the other cinemas, which is a shame coz they used to be pretty good.
Innaloo is a little further, but nice and big, so I'll go there for the premiere.
