He was replying to criticism from Fiji's interim Information and Communications minister Ratu Inoke Kubuabola, who said that Chaudhry's India visit and his meeting with Prime Minister Atal Behari Vajpayee must be as an ordinary citizen of Fiji.
Kubuabola says the sanctions Chaudhry has been requesting are uncalled for and must be politely but firmly declined by those nations, which have the interests of Fiji as a whole.
On claims by Kubuabola that he did not have the mandate to speak on behalf of the people any more, Chaudhry said his people's coalition won a huge majority in last year's elections while Kubuabola's SVT Party won eight "miserable" seats.
