The grandmaster of YUI SHIN KAI is Motokatsu Inoue Sensei born in Tokyo 2nd December, 1918.
His father Saburo Inoue was general in the army and his mother Chiyoko Inoue granddaughter to Inoue Kaoru a former prime Minister of Japan.
Inoue Sensei had known him before he began his training however, because Fujita was his fathers body guard and was always present in or around the house grounds, Fujita was a true master capable of many strange feats and taught to disregard pain.

 Fujita Seiko: The Last Koga Ninja
Inoue's father was an army general, and his mother was the granddaughter of Inoue Kaoru, a former prime minister of Japan.
Inoue considered Fujita to be "a very mysterious martial artist" and "a true master, capable of many strange feats including the ability to disregard pain" (Mead).
When Fujita finally gave Inoue permission to open a dojo in 1948, it was to teach Yui Shin Kai Karate-Jutsu, a composite style which Fujita had named and co-founded, and that retained such qualities of traditional Bujutsu, as Jujutsu and Shurikenjutsu.

After the Meiji restoration, Inoue served in several important government positions until being appointed Vice Minister of Finance in 1871.
He was influential in reorganizing government finances on modern lines, especially in the reform of the land tax system, termination of government stipends to the ex-samurai and former aristocracy and for promoting the industrialization of Japan.
These measures created many political enemies, and Inoue was forced to resign in May 1873.

Motokatsu Inoue was the Grandmaster of Yui Shin Kai and Ryukyu Kobujutsu.
Born in Tokyo in 1918, his Father was a general in the Army, and his mother was the Grandaughter of Inoue Kaoru, a former Prime Minister of Japan.
He taught the young Inoue to throw anything, but the basis was always from the straight iron darts, around 8 inches in length.
