Blanchardstown (Baile Bhlainséir in Irish) is a suburb of Dublin City, Ireland.
Originally a town in its own right, it is now a large township in Fingal; and serves as a regional administrative centre for the county along with Swords.
The Blanchardstown Shopping Centre was Ireland's second major shopping centre at its completion (it followed The Square in Tallaght) and was the country's largest shopping centre until Dundrum Town Centre opened.

The main provisions of the Bill are the dissolution of the company entitled Institute of Technology, Blanchardstown Limited; the establishment of the institute within the Regional Technical Colleges Acts framework; and the appointment of the governing body of the institute.
Any Bill dealing with an institute of technology would have to refer to the fl hole which exists in third level education - the extraordinarily high drop-out rates we are experiencing in the institutes of technology.

Institute of Technology Tralee was established in 1977 and is a university level institution with a range of programmes from craft to postgraduate level.

Finding the new institute of technology in Blanchardstown, Dublin, can be a bit disconcerting, if you don't know the terrain.
The number 38 bus runs from the city centre to the institute, while the 39 runs to Blanchardstown and, for three hours each morning and evening, is met by a feeder bus.
A more recent development is Blanchardstown's involvement in the Enterprise Platform Programme with DCU and Tallaght IT, which aims to encourage budding entrepreneurs, who want to set up their own businesses, by offering scholarships, space and expert support and resources for a twoyear period.
