	Intergovernmental Conference - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
		An Intergovernmental Conference (IGC) is the formal procedure for negotiating amendments to the founding treaties of the European Union.
		Under the treaties, an IGC is called into being by the European Council, and is composed of representatives of the member states, with the Commission, and to a lesser degree the Parliament also participating.
		One of the recommendations of the Convention is that a convention be used to prepare for future IGCs; whether this recommendation is adopted by the member states will depend on their judgement of the Convention process.

		The post of Minister of Intergovernmental Affairs (French: Ministre des Affaires intergouvernementales) is the member of the Cabinet of Canada responsible for the federal government's relations with the governments of the provinces and territories of Canada.
		The Minister of Intergovernmental Affairs does not head a full-fledged department, but rather the Intergovernmental Affairs Secretariat within the Privy Council Office.

	Unasylva - No. 79 - Work of FAO
		An Intergovernmental Conference on Timber Trends and Prospects in Africa was called by FAO at Nairobi from 27 September to 2 October 1965, at the invitation of the Government of Kenya.
		The conference considered various institutional problems in the context of forestry development; for instance, forest legislation, land tenure and customary rights as factors conditioning the possibilities of action.
		In this connection, the conference commended FAO for organizing a seminar at Abidjan in October 1965 for directors of forestry schools of intermediate level.

	Final Act of the Intergovernmental Conference
		At the invitation of the Government of Finland, the Intergovernmental Conference on Emergency Telecommunications was held in Tampere from 16 to 18 June 1998.
		On the basis of its deliberations, the Conference adopted the text of the Tampere Convention on the Provision of Telecommunication Resources for Disaster Mitigation and Relief Operations, which was opened for signature in Tampere on this eighteenth day of June 1998 in the English, French and Spanish languages.
		The Conference thanked the Secretary-General of the United Nations for agreeing to serve as depositary of the Convention and encouraged him to schedule a signing ceremony in New York in connection with the 53rd session of the United Nations General Assembly.

		The International Conference on Population and Development (ICPD) was held in Cairo from 5 to 13 September 1994.

		The British-Irish Inter-Governmental Conference and Secretariat were established in December 1999 by the British-Irish Agreement to promote bilateral co-operation between the UK and Ireland.
