PS: For the non-Trekkies in the crowd, "LCARS" is the name of the computer interface that is shown on the Trek computers starting with The Next Generation onward.
As KW pointed out, this initial skin is based on the official star trek interface, it can only have a black background.
There are disagreements in the Trek fan base as to what an "official" LCARS interface would be like but the 'look and feel' of LCARS is instant and immediately recognizable to all fans.

Star Trek: Away Team Review - PC
Heck, I would’ve even settled for some Next Generation characters, but although Star Trek: Away Team features some cameos by Worf and Data, all of your controllable characters are invented for the game.
Now the anticipated Star Trek: Away Team tackles one of the few remaining untapped genres for a Star Trek game: the squad-based strategy game, but with mixed results.
The combat was usually too easy, and when it was difficult, it was the interface/lack of squad AI causing it, not clever levels or interesting enemies.

 VUI: The New Paradigm
That new paradigm, based on the Casper technology of the early 1990s, is the Vocal User Interface (VUI) and though it will, in its first generation, lack the artificial intelligence we'd get from Star Trek's Enterprise, it will amaze people nonetheless.
This performance lead is likely to give Apple the chance to move forward on the second generation of the VUI which should include, among other things, artificial intelligence.
Now with a technology this cool, some may be concerned about the possibility of the Wintel world usurping the VUI the same way they did the GUI.
