INTERLAKE, Manitoba, Apr 25 (LSN.ca) - Parents are in an uproar in the Interlake region of Manitoba where a school nurse has announced,with the backing of the province's College of Physicians and Surgeons, that parents will have no right to prevent nurses from providing their children with contraceptives.
LifeSite reported last month that schools in the Interlake region were considering a sex-ed program that would see nurses handing out the pill and condoms in high schools.
The move is being pushed by a Planned Parenthood front group which calls itself the "Sexuality Education Resource Centre" Earlier, parents were told they could opt their children out of the program.
