 Posterior Abdominal Wall - Lymph
When observing the major lymph nodes from inferior to superior in the posterior abdominal wall, one can first label the nodes near the external and internal iliac arteries as External and Internal Iliac nodes respectively.
The Common Iliac nodes then drain into the Lumbar or Lateral Aortic nodes found on either side of the Aorta.
These nodes drain into the Common Iliac nodes found close to the common iliac arteries.

 Definition of Cervix
The lymphatic drainage of the cervix is along the uterine arteries and cardinal ligaments to the external iliac, internal iliac, and obturator lymph nodes.
From these pelvic lymph nodes, drainage then proceeds to the paraaortic lymph nodes.
In humans it is associated with cervical cancer, a particular form of cancer which is detectable by cytological study of epidermal cells removed from the cervix in a process known as the pap smear.

Squamous Cell Carcinoma of the Ovary - A Rare Entity
Left common iliac and internal iliac lymph nodes 2cm x1cm.
Pelvic and paraaortic lymph nodes were not palpable.
No evidence of squamous cell carcinoma was seen in the specimens received including lymph nodes.

The Circulatory (Part 3) and Lymphatic System
Find the right and left internal, external, and common iliac arteries, the right and left external and common iliac veins, the abdominal aorta, and the inferior vena cava.
Trace lymph from the foot though lymphatic stuctures (important nodes and stuctures) until it reaches the circulatory system.
Identify abdominal aorta, celiac trunk (cut), superior mesenteric artery (cut), right and left renal arteries, inferior mesenteric artery, right and left common iliac arteries, right and left common iliac veins, inferior vena cava (cut), and renal veins (cut).

LYMPHATICS OF ABDOMEN, PELVIS, PERINEUM AND LOWER EXTREMITY
Lymph from the bladder goes to the internal iliac, common iliac then para-aortic nodes.
Lymphatic drainage of the abdomen, pelvis, perineum and lower extremity tends to follow blood vessels and ligaments and passes through small clusters of nodes located on viscera or at bifurcations of vessels before draining into groups of larger nodes along major vessels.
Lymphatic drainage follows the same path as other structures in the perineum to the superficial inguinal nodes.

The inferior gluteal artery is a branch of the anterior division of the internal iliac artery, it leaves the pelvis through the inferior part of the greater sciatic foramen, goes inferior to piriformis muscle and serves the muscles and skin of the inferior buttock and posterior thigh.
Lymphatic drainage: intermediate colic lymph nodes, then the inferior mesenteric lymph nodes
Inferior Vena Cava: is formed on the right side of L5 by the union of the two common iliac veins, below the bifurcation of the aorta.

Specifically, the regional lymph nodes are the pericolic and perirectal nodes and those found along the ileocolic, right colic, middle colic, left colic, inferior mesenteric artery, superior rectal (hemorrhoidal), and internal iliac arteries.
Regional nodes are located (1) along the course of the major vessels supplying the colon and rectum, (2) along the vascular arcades of the marginal artery, and (3) adjacent to the colon – that is, located along the mesocolic border of the colon.
This margin may reflect invasion either through the peritoneum covering the intraabdominal colon in which the lesion was adherent to an unresected structure or organ, or into retroperitoneal or infraperitoneal fat.

Stage IIIB anal cancer is cancer that has spread to internal iliac and/or inguinal nodes (unilateral or bilateral) or has spread to both adjacent organs and perirectal lymph nodes.
Stage I anal cancer is cancer that is 2 centimeters or less in greatest dimension and that has not spread anywhere else.
Stage IIIA anal cancer presents clinically as stage II in most instances and is determined to be IIIA by clinically evident perirectal nodal disease or adjacent organ involvement.

Cervix - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The lymphatic drainage of the cervix is along the uterine arteries and cardinal ligaments to the parametrial, external iliac, internal iliac, obturator, and presacral lymph nodes.
In humans the cervix is associated with cervical cancer, a particular form of cancer which is detectable by cytological study of epidermal cells removed from the cervix in a process known as the pap smear.
The cervix (from Latin "neck") is actually the lower, narrow portion of the uterus where it joins with the top end of the vagina.
