		The International Federation of Liberal Youth (IFLRY) passed a resolution at its 2007 general assembly yesterday to make efforts to push for Taiwan's accession to the United Nations a joint declaration of this year's annual meeting.
		Welcoming the passage, Chou Yung-hung, director of the Department of Youth Development of the ruling Democratic Progressive Party (DPP), said the support rendered to Taiwan by the IFLRY is tantamount to a slap in the face by democratic values to China's hegemonic mentality toward Taiwan.
