		By the end of the 1930s, each karate group was called upon to register with the butoku-kai for official sanctioning, and in 1938, a meeting of the Butoku-kai's official karatedo leaders was held in Tokyo.
		The center karate leaders continued on their own or became part of other groups, using authority inherited mostly from members of one of the original Okinawan organizations, the most significant is the All Okinawa Karate and Kobudo Rengokai.

		international karate was published in the states by Epyx as far as i can remember.
		Plus, the 8-bit in its (much) later years was fully capable of producing the same tunes the ST did in its megademos, which was quite impressive.

		The original game was essentially a clone of "Yie Ar Kung Fu" and "Way of the Exploding Fist", which were in turn clones of an arcade game called "Karate Champ".
		It has been ported to the Game Boy Color (appalling game with nothing in common with the original), Game Boy Advance (in two forms, "International Karate Advance", which is similar to the GBC version, and "IK+", which is a flawed but enjoyable port of the Amiga version) and PlayStation (identical to the GBA "IK+" version).
